Ft. Greene Peace Brooklyn Community Forums

As an active member of Fort Greene Peace since 2014 — the peace and social justice group of Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, and Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn — Ryan collaborates on leading organization and facilitation of FGP Community Forums: neighborhood gatherings for discussion, debate, and reflection on current events at local, national, and international levels. In the most recent forum, Ryan moderated a neighborhood conversation with Kim Phillips-Fein, historian and author of FEAR CITY, a portrait of NYC’s 1970s economic crisis which led to the austerity politics that shape the (lack of) social services in the city today.
